A man awakens believing himself to be Faust. His memories arrive as images, fragments and possible lives. Connected to artificial intelligence, he begins to arrange them into chronicles and gradually forms an identity of his own.

From Hamburg and New York to the Amalfi Coast and secret laboratories, the novel combines love, memory, temptation and technological immortality. The wager with M becomes both a modern Faustian pact and a test of whether a human self can survive limitless possibility.
